Separate sessions available, $50 whole afternoon, $30 single session with 25% discount for AUSTA members.  Students $10 per session (and free for AUSTA members with a valid student ID).

Forum sessions for upper strings and cello are presentations and open discussions on how to best set up beginners. If you are new to teaching, need some new ideas or are keen to share your best tips and tricks – then do come along!

Creative aural activities for String Groups and Ensembles,

Add valuable tools to you teaching ‘toolbox’ by participating in this inspiring and engaging session that caters for all group teaching needs.

This session follows a holistic and accessible approach to inspire string students of all levels.

Explore aural-based activities that encompass elements of composing, arranging, improvisation, technical work and ensemble skills.

In this session, you’ll explore approaches to:

• Develop students’ aural skills and musical intuition

• Reinforce skills with peer-to-peer learning activities

• Facilitate students’ own class compositions

• Use holistic curriculum approaches for instrumental music activities

• Enable leadership opportunities to develop engaged & informed players
