Workshop in bow-guiding

Presenter: Yvonne Frye

In this workshop participants will experience very practically, how to established a balanced bow hand (violin) by manual work of the teacher.

In an almost physiotherapist way of working, we will look into different supporting grips. With the help of those grips, the student will be able to play smooth bow changes with a good core in the sound.

Those grips will help to establish a balanced bow hold with beginners (children and adult players) but are a valuable tool in remedial teaching, too.

Furthermore, we will look into different bow techniques like spiccato and staccato and how manual help can support the development of those.
