Hills Symphony Orchestra is a community orchestra based in Ellenbrook, Western Australia. We are a group of dedicated amateurs from all walks of life with a passion for music. Founded in 1981, over 40 years on it has become a much-loved part of the Perth Hills & City of Swan community.

Student Soirees are events for school aged children to perform as soloists or small ensembles with in-house accompaniment available. Taking place in a rustic European style restaurant, families are welcome to stay to enjoy a meal afterwards. Coupled with our friendly atmosphere, this makes sure that your child’s first experience with performance is a positive one. Children can perform as a nice one-off, or take advantage of our memberships and monthly soirees for regular goal setting and working on their performance skills.

The Dandenong Ranges Orchestra is a community-based orchestra located in the hills area of Yarra Ranges. Preston Symphony Orchestra is an adventurous, committed and friendly orchestra based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. It provides the opportunity for musicians and audience members to play and hear orchestral music of a high standard. The orchestra currently has over 60 members. It plays a season of four concerts a year to large audiences, including the highly-regarded Preston Symphony Orchestra Youth Concerto Competition. Recent repertoire includes symphonies by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Vaughan Williams, as well as works by Australian composers such as Nigel Westlake and Katy Abbott. The orchestra is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of music in the cultural life of Perth. Caminada … a series of walking steps CaminadaStrings introduces adult students who are fluent at about Grade 3 AMEB standard, or better, to ensemble playing. We are a string orchestra. We have several younger players. We meet in Memorial Hall, 1 Richmond Road, Westbourne Park, South Australia, from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm, on Friday evenings. The Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra (MetSO) and the two MetSO Intermediate String Orchestras (MISO and MISO Avanti) are open community ensembles that encourage musicians of all ages and all abilities to share in making music together. Since 1977, MetSO has allowed musicians from all over Perth to come together for rehearsals, workshops and performances. The South Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (SMSO) is one of Melbourne’s oldest community orchestras, founded in 1946 and with a long-standing association with the South Melbourne Town Hall.
