Dandenong Ranges Orchestra

The Dandenong Ranges Orchestra is a community-based orchestra located in the hills area of Yarra Ranges. DRO’s membership is drawn from local (and wider) professional and amateur musicians of all ages and abilities who enjoy playing the classical repertoire together under the baton of a professional musical director. No auditions required but be prepared to grow as an instrumentalist! We present three concerts per year presenting a varying classical repertoire that regularly includes original compositions by local composers. Rehearsals are held on Mondays at 7.30pm at the Community Music Hub in Upwey and are relaxed, friendly as well as challenging and fulfilling. Please get in touch especially if you live in the hills area and love to play classical music. Vacancies currently exist for all sections. of the orchestra.
