Community orchestra of the mid-north coast of NSW is looking for upper string players of Grade 4 proficiency or above. From teens to seniors. Repertoire is mixed: baroque, classical, to modern popular, show medleys, jazz, etc. Rehearse Taree mainly for concert series performed for local communities across the mid-north coast. All voluntary. VYSPF is a registered charitable organisation dedicated to serving the larger community by working for the improvement of quality in Australian music education through courses, workshops, performances and the provision of resources. The VYSPF aims to provide scholarships and grants for WA string players under the age of 25, to develop a string resource centre for the WA music community and to establish a collection of fine string instruments for use by deserving students.

Whitehorse Ochestra is a community orchestra which rehearses at the Box Hill Community Arts Centre, 470 Station St, Box Hill, on Saturdays between 9am & midday. It is open to all ages, but approx. AMEB gde 6 – 7 is recommended. Surrey Hills Orchestra is a community orchestra that has been performing for 30 years. We rehearse each Tuesday evening and hold major concerts in May and November. Mosman Symphony Orchestra is a friendly community orchestra and we are always keen to welcome new players. People join the orchestra for many reasons. Some of our members are music teachers, some are music students who take the opportunity to learn the standard orchestral repertoire in a friendly, non threatening environment. Many are simply amateur players who love playing orchestral music. There are no auditions, but to be comfortable with the repertoire string players should be at a level equivalent to AMEB Grade 5 or above.
