Traditional music from Ireland, Scotland and the Shetland Islands featuring the music of the Doherty family from Co Donegal plus the famous flute and fiddle music of Co Sligo. The Dohertys were a iconic family of travelling fiddle players storytellers and tin smiths. Mick Doherty, nephew of the well known fiddle player Johnny Doherty, lived in Perth and was Robert’s great friend and mentor.
The trio will be playing jigs, reels, hornpipes, marches, haunting slow airs and highland flings to name a few.
