Based in Europe as a tenured Professor of Violin, Viola and Chamber music since 1990, Australian violinist Brian Finlayson was appointed Head of Strings at the Carinthian State Conservatorium in Klagenfurt, Austria in 2008 until his retirement in 2019. Brian was a keynote presenter at the AUSTA National Conference in Perth in 2018 and he has conducted masterclasses and workshops on several  previous visits to Perth, Melbourne and Albany. This is his fourth visit to Perth.
