Cellist, Michael Goldschlager is perhaps best known to WA audiences through his many recordings with the renowned Macquarie Trio. A soloist and former principal cellist of the WASO and frequent guest principal cellist with the ACO, TSO and SSO, he has lived in Perth since 1985. He has held positions at UWA, WAAPA, where he taught units in pedagogy, the VCA and at ANAM, where he was Coordinator of Strings. He is currently half way through the process of recording all six of Bach’s unaccompanied cello suites for ABC Classics/Universal, a two disc set which is expected to be released by the end of 2010.
