Kickstart Term 2 with a full day of practical, inspiring professional learning designed to support and elevate your string teaching and musicianship.

Our Pedagogy Day brings together a range of experienced presenters, offering sessions focused on real, usable strategies across all areas of string teaching, from developing early musicianship, to refining exam performance, instrument care, and inclusive teaching approaches.

Whether you are working in the studio, classroom, or ensemble setting, this is a valuable opportunity to refresh your approach, gain new ideas, and connect with fellow string educators.

Registration will open from 9:00am, with sessions beginning at 9:30am. Morning tea and lunch will be provided. On the day, don’t forget to bring your keep cup for tea and coffee.

The Austa NSW String Festival is an event organised to give young string players (violin, viola, cello and double bass) the opportunity to perform in a friendly, non-competitive, and supportive environment.

Participants are invited to play one piece either solo or with an accompanist to the best of their ability. Participants will play one by one in a small group with other players of a similar age and ability. Each performer will receive a report and a trophy.
