Advertising Policy

(as of February 2020)

Social Media and Advertising are integral to the development and promotion of AUSTA.Stringendo, our twice year full colour journal currently allows two price points for advertisers.

  • Members
  • Non-MembersIn addition to our regular advertising rates, AUSTA will now offer our advertisers options to upgrade their advertising package. The following services will be offered to our Stringendo advertisers as package ‘add-ons’.

Email advertising (via MailChimp)

For AUSTA Members to advertise

$50 per chapter, with a total cap of $200, plus GST.

  • For events and services only (not products or retail services).
  • Eg. job advertisement, summer schools, concerts, masterclasses etc.
  • Schools will need to be a member for any job advertisements and must not beunder the name of an individual.

For Non-Members to advertise

$75 per chapter, with a total cap of $300, plus GST.

  • For events and services only (not products or retail services).
  • Eg. job advertisement, summer schools, concerts, masterclasses etc.
  • Schools who are not members are to pay full fees, as per any other non-member group or organisation.

Social Media (Facebook – National & Chapter pages)

  • The scheduling of all posts and events needs to be in consultation and coordination with the Social Media manager.
  • The advertising of products can be negotiated with freebies and giveaways as deemed appropriate by the social media manager, and the discretion of the National Executive Committee.
  • The Social Media Manager organises this service.

Paid Posts

Posts on social media will attract a one-price point fee, regardless of membership. This fee is applicable to all posts that are advertising an event or if deemed appropriate, a product. Disclaimers will be used (see below).

     Examples: A new syllabus, an event from an arts organisation, a new rosin on the market etc.
Rates will be $30 for 1 post $50 for 2 posts plus GST.
For Stringendo ad-ons, Facebook posts are scheduled with consultation with the social media manager, not longer than 6 months since publication, i.e. between Stringendo issues.
Products on Facebook cannot be advertised on social media unless they have advertised in Stringendo’s latest edition.
All paid posts (advertising) on Facebook is for the National Facebook page only unless they have giveaways or tickets etc, for local members of chapters.

Unpaid Posts

Unpaid posts will be deemed appropriate when:

They off a direct service to members.
   Example: Cut off dates for a summer school, conference information or events that are deemed of interest to our members. AUSTA would be looking at the experiential value to our members over the organisations’ potential profits.

Free tickets or giveaways are offered to members.

Example 1: An arts organisation approaches AUSTA to advertise a concert and we will do this for free with a few sets of double passes to give away as prizes for members, at the Social Media Managers discretion.

Example 2: An organisation approaches AUSTA to advertise a concert or event but offers AUSTA members discounted tickets prices.

Disclaimers

For particular paid advertising (products and some services) suitable disclaimers will be made, such as:

‘This is a Paid Advertisement to benefit AUSTA and is not an endorsement. AUSTA gratefully thanks our advertisers and supporters.’

‘This is a giveaway promotional offer for AUSTA members and is not an endorsement.’
