Playing violin (viola and any musical instrument for that matter) is for life! My classical training, orchestral and chamber music experience has led me to realize that violin playing fits with all forms of music. I set my students up to love playing and to want to play and explore violin for the whole of their lives. Teenage students who have been playing since primary school have very different needs and interests to younger ones. Sometimes, a stint on an electric violin and an introduction to contemporary, jazz or rock violin styles is just what they need! After teaching violin at schools like Wesley College, Canberra Grammar and Westbourne Grammar, I am now based in New Gisborne and teach at my studio or online. Am also a registered provider with the NDIS so if you are on an NDIS Plan, violin lessons with me are covered!
