As a music educator I have been teaching cello in private schools in Brisbane and in my own studio since 2006, and working extensively with primary school aged students across Australia since 2012 as a performer for Music Viva In Schools. As a performer, I play with symphony orchestras, chamber music, appear as a soloist, and in the realm of world-music and improvisation.

I’ve found that sound technical development and strong aural skills ultimately give students the freedom to enjoy making music and express themselves through playing the cello. I also encourage students to involve themselves in ensembles, youth orchestras, concerts and recitals, or just playing in a band for fun! Whether you are preparing for AMEB exams, youth orchestra auditions, school band concerts, or practicing for the local fiddle club jam night, I develop individual programs to help students to reach their musical goals.
