I have been teaching violin and viola for many years in private practice and in several schools (including Sydney Grammar, Barker College, PLC Croydon, AIM Sydney.) I have successfully prepared many students for exams and tertiary auditions. As an Alexander Technique teacher I have worked with many musicians to resolve postural problems and injuries that have resulted from playing instruments( including wind, brass and percussion as well as strings). I have had a long professional playing career (violist) working with Sydney Symphony, Melbourne Symphony, Tasmanian Symphony, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Opera Australia Orchestra as well as many other chamber ensembles. As well as teaching Alexander Technique privately I have taught workshops for the Australian Institute of Music, NSW Police Band, Barker College senior music students and music staff, classes for Sydney Symphony, Opera Australia Opera Orchestra as well as other non musical organisations. I have taught as a senior teacher on several Alexander Technique teacher training courses.
