Marianne is a highly regarded professional violinist, chamber musician and educator. She is a skilled and experienced teacher who believes every child has the ability to reach their potential with the appropriate support and instruction. She fosters self-confidence, interpersonal skills, curiosity, a love of learning, an appreciation of the arts and a joyful sense of fun through her teaching practice.

She offers private violin tuition and chamber music coaching as well as HSC music, audition and orchestral excerpt preparation. She teaches primarily traditional string pedagogy methods but incorporates philosophies from the Suzuki method as well. Her studio is located in Balgowlah on the lower Northern Beaches.

Marianne holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Music) from the University of Sydney and was member of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra for over 15 years, first as a tutti first violin member and then as Associate Principal Second Violin. Marianne is passionate about sharing her expertise, enthusiasm and love of music with students of all age, stage and ability.
