$20,000This viola was made by Joseph Hornsteiner around the early 1800’s. The instrument is covered in a deep red-brown varnish. It is just over 15 inches in length. Although not a large viola, it does produce a sonorous warm tone that takes one back to eras of the past. I believe this instrument would suit anyone who is passionate about playing the viola.
